As I take the three layers of a quilt, the quilt top, the batting, and the backing, I am reminded that it is not a quilt without these three layers. And as I freemotion quilt these layers together they become one. They are not "one quilt" on there own, but together, the three are one. Just as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are three separate "beings" yet one. Always together and never apart. Blessed are we.
