Cricut crafting-Shadow Box Monogram

Friends of mine were married in the Church on the 19th of last month. They had been married for 16 years but recently finished their journey to become full members of the Catholic Church, so renewed their vows as part of the Sacraments of the Church. It was lovely.

I made them this Monogram shadowbox gift using my Cricut machine. It was fun to do and a learning curve at the same time. I had never made anything with flowers and had never used the vinyl.

I think it turned out great and they were very surprised.

So, the flowers start off like this. A circular piece of cardstock that you cut on the Cricut. I have a Cricut Air 2. Once your flowers are cut, you roll them up one at a time, and you have a sweet flower.

I used three different shades of gray for this and used the tacky glue to place them in the box.

This was fun and I really am hoping to make more like this. Next up is one for our youngest son's birthday only no flowers. They all love the beach so I am thinking of gluing in seashells that we have collected over the years!!!

I am really fortunate to have this machine, it is really fun and there are so many things you can make with it. My youngest son and his wife gave it to me a few years ago for my birthday I think. It sat for awhile as I had no idea what to do with it. Now I watch videos and am on two beginning cricut maker sites on facebook, so the learning continues!!!

 Take care friends,
