Live*Love*Life 40 Days of Lent ~ Introducing: Obria

Today I am going to share just one organization who's goal is to help pregnant women, families, men when they are facing a new pregnancy.

There are similar organizations around the nation who's similar goal is to help mom's learn about their pregnancy's, understand their options, and help them with some very tough decisions. These organizations have many resources for mom's to take advantage of to help them through the pregnancy and beyond. 

In Lebanon Oregon we have Obria. 

In the past, it was called The Pregnancy Alternative Center.

They provide pregnancy testing, STD testing, ultrasounds, prenatal care, well woman care, pregnancy decision counseling, abortion information, health education.

They are focused on taking care of mothers, fathers, families, in a compassionate setting using trustworthy medical care. 

I had the opportunity to volunteer there when they were The Pregnancy Alternative Center. They asked me to teach some childbirth classes to the women who they were currently seeing.

It was a joy to participate in the lives of those special mom's who had chosen to keep their little ones.

I was, at that time, a certified childbirth instructor for Lebanon Community Hospital, so teaching at the center was easy, fun, and so rewarding!!! 

So often women feel vulnerable and frightened when facing an unplanned pregnancy.

That is where an organization like Obria steps in.

They want to help these women and families and in the long run, the little ones who are at risk.

Love Them Both!!!!!!!!!!!

We as a nation should be standing together to support our pregnant moms and empowering them with love.

But instead, we have a part of our government who is right now working on telling women that ending their pregnancy is the right thing to do and the best action to take.

They LIE!!!

Abortion does not empower women,

It weakens them.

It destroys the bond between them and their child.

It leaves them empty, alone, disgraced, and damaged.

And the ones who encouraged them into this decision are no longer standing by their side.

It is time to put a stop to the LIES

Let us lift up our Sisters.

Let us show them our Love

We are strong

We are here

And being a mom is one of the greatest gifts we can receive.
