Oregon Fires

We still have fires burning here in Oregon, but they are starting to get them in control and the smoke has lifted.

We are where the pen is pointing below. There were fires about 24 miles south of us and 24 miles north of us.

So many people lost their homes and businesses across the state. It has been so sad and horrible.

The skys were so creepy for so long. You couldn't stay outside at all. Wearing an N95 mask helped when you had to be outside.

Below are my sunflowers with the smokey background.

The rains have finally returned to us and are helping with the fire control and clearing the air out. What a gift the rain is!!!!

We did prepare for evacuation, getting all the important papers gathered. We also made a list of what we would want to grab if we had to leave. Got our motorhome gassed up and ready to go too.

Glad that we were able to stay home!!

That was a difficult time!!!

Take care and be safe!! Martha
